Clementaum

Biography

Clementaum, also known as LA MAYOR, is one of the most compelling voices in Brazil’s underground electronic scene, drawing international attention through a distinctive stage presence and a clearly defined artistic identity. In 2025, her work was recognised by BeatPortal, which described her as “storming the global club scene with high-speed rhythms and unapologetic flair,” while Mixmag named her among the Top 25 Breakthrough DJs of the Year.
With roots in fashion and deep ties to the ballroom community, where she is known as Overall Princess Harpya, Clementaum approaches the dancefloor as an extension of her broader vision: open, expressive and unconstrained by rigid boundaries. This perspective shapes both her sound and her performance practice.
Her impact on Brazilian electronic music was further acknowledged in 2024, when she won DJ of the Year at the WME Awards powered by Billboard, following a nomination in the Musical Producer category the previous year. Her performance at Primavera Sound Barcelona also caught the attention of WGSN, which highlighted her as one of the festival’s standout acts.
Clementaum’s sound moves fluidly between funk, techno and Brazilian tribal rhythms, forming a high-energy and distinctive musical language. This approach has led to collaborations with artists including Pabllo Vittar, Nathy Peluso, Rose Gray, Pedro Sampaio and Karol Conká. Her sonic identity was further articulated through the release of her Splice sample pack SOUNDS OF CUZIL, bringing her sound into wider creative circulation.
She has performed at a wide range of festivals, clubs and cultural events across Brazil and Europe, including CTM Festival, Draaimolen, Sónar, Unsound and WHOLE Festival.
Clementaum continues to build a body of work that connects local culture with international club contexts, positioning her as a distinctive voice within contemporary electronic music.
